GUYS WHAT IF QUI GON WAS ANAKIN'S FATHER
Qui Gon doesn't do the rule following thing too good. What if he was on some mission that took him to Tatooine and met a lovely slave girl named Shmi... he fell in love and never told anyone, because that's what you do when you're a jedi and you fall in love...
Many years later, another mission led him into serious trouble, and he suggested landing on Tatooine because come on they were RIGHT THERE, he couldn't help it, he had to see her again...and maybe she could help, too....
Qui Gon, gosh, you are such a gentleman around this good woman who let us stay at her house for no reason...
"Who was this boy's father, Shmi?" (Was it someone else, or... I mean, I was gone a long time, it's to be expected if you moved on and all, but...?)
"Oh, nobody, I don't know where he came from." (Of course he's yours dumbass, look at that wild little thing, he never does a thing I say and he's adorable, how could he not be yours)
(The gungan dares to eat with bad table manners at Shmi's table? Grab the lil punk's tongue. "DON'T do that again.")
(Speaking of Jar Jar -- Anakin told Shmi that she's told him that the biggest problem in the universe is that nobody helps each other. Meanwhile, earlier in the movie, Qui Gon pulls Jar Jar into the mud to save his life, then helps Jar Jar escape the gungans' wrath, for NO REASON other than, I dunno, he needed help.)
Qui Gon tried to gamble for Shmi and Anakin. Watto only wanted to wager one of his slaves. Qui Gon knew it had to be their son, he knew that's what Shmi would want. He made the chance cube pick Anakin, and on some level it broke his heart.
Qui Gon's dying wish was for Anakin to be trained as a jedi. They ran into some kid and saved him from slavery during the course of their adventure, and Qui Gon's dying wish is for that kid's future.
Anakin doesn't do the rule following thing too good either, does he...

Personally, Shmi probably had met someone who is pretty much Force-sensitive who I would name him “Shnu“ except he wasn’t even there as a person, but rather the one with the Force itself.
But back to the “Quimi” pair-up, I believe that they would get together after dealing with the potential Sith Lord, he wonders if it is worth seeing Shmi once again.
Eventually, he bought her for freedom and then after contemplating whether he should love another after Tahl’s death and maybe communicating her through the Force, she says that she always love him even if he does find another and I believe the rest of the event plays out.
